Bulb Information
Bulbs look best planted in groups of at least three....and more in the group makes for an even better display.
Some of the flowers, deer will usually not eat (although hungry deer will eat ANY plant) - these will be indicated by "deer avoid".
Some bulbs (such as crocus) are particularly loved by squirrels - they will dig them up - eat some and replant some (for a spring surprise!). If you want to plant crocus - you also might try spraying area with animal repellant for example (for information only, not an RCA endorsement).
Do not leave any debris from bulb planting - those flakey layers covering bulbs - after planting, water area to remove the appealing odor of the bulbs.
Some bulbs will "come back" (naturalize), others must be dug up after the leaves turn brown and saved to be replanted the next fall.
Bloom time is indicate by Early, Early/Mid, Mid/Late, Late spring
Mid to Late bloomers need sunny location
Most bulbs do NOT do well in moist, damp soil.
